Frans Van Der Merwe
Frans van der Merwe is a professional hunter with over two decades of experience across Africa. Raised on a game ranch in the Karoo, his passion for the African bush and its wildlife began at an early age. Since 1999, Frans has hunted extensively in Botswana, Zimbabwe, and Mozambique, specializing in dangerous game for 23 years. Deeply committed to wildlife conservation and ethical hunting, his vision is to develop Gamagara into a premier first-hand South African hunting destination, offering authentic African hunting experiences rooted in tradition, respect, and conservation.
Bongani
I am Bongani, shaped by the open landscapes and quiet discipline of the Eastern Cape, where I grew up near the riverine country. From an early age I learned the bush not from books but from time spent on the ground, tracking and observing. Hunting was never just an activity to me; it was a calling that taught patience, respect for wildlife, and an understanding of the land that goes beyond words.
